Halloween

We were a little late carving our pumpkin! Here, David was carving it just before leaving for trick-or-treating!

Chase LOVED trick-or-treating once he got the hang of it! He even walked into someone's house looking for the candy!

This year's Homecoming theme was "Disney Movies", so our float (Oakdale Elementary (where I teach) chose to be Air Bud. We all dressed up in various uniforms and used my dog-in-law, Belle as "Air Bud". We had fun! The kids love it every year.

My sweet friend, Amy Bates took our family pictures this summer at our house. Amy and I used to teach together at Northwest Rankin, but she is now taking awesome pictures on the side of staying home with her boys. She did an awesome job for us! At this point, we were struggling to get a decent picture of us with the kids! This picture just made us laugh! Thank goodness our sweet photographer had a ton of patience and lots of silly songs to sing!

At 4 years old, Carter has a hard time smiling naturally, so the serious look for him is the best way to go!

Amy certainly captured a good one of Chase and his proud mama! If you look close, it looks like I am engaged! The truth is, I accidently left my wedding band in the house.

I love Carter's eyes in this picture.

Summer Pics '08

Carter and Chase hangin' out in Uncle Brad's shop on the motorcycle. I wonder if Uncle Brad will get talked into taking Carter for a ride!!??

Yep!! Here, Carter headed out for a special ride with our next door neighbor, his Uncle Brad.

Carter has become a little fish this summer! David's brother that lives next door to us (Brad) put in a hot tub that flows into the pool, so Carter has loved swimming in it. Remarkably, Carter has learned to swim on his own just by us going over there so much this summer and swimming.

Here, Chase wanted to wear his floaties as we were just hanging out outside and playing in the yard. He found the tub of rain water and thought he'd go for a swim!! I will have to remember this one for his senior slide show!!

Chase absolutely loves dogs!! He loves to sit and lay on top of our dogs but I'm not so sure the dogs love it. Labs are awesome and they are thankfully very patient.

Chase was NOT crazy about the beach this year. He was trying to get to me when he took a dive in the sand and came up looking like this. I just had to get a picture!
